DAWAKI 89 HISTORY

Dawakin kudu class 89 was drawn from different existing junior secondary schools (JSS) of difunct Kano state. They represented the first two –three or four best students of these schools who excelled well in their class report at JSS level, after passing the requisite Science and Technical Schools Board Examination in 1986. Students normally gained entry in to SS1 of the then existing Science Secondary Schools(SSS) of either Dawakin Kudu Tofa or Kafin Hausa of the schools. But most student of Dawakin Kudu SSS represent class of brain drawn from different social and economic background and parental status who gained entry in to the school in 1986 .Students therefore co-opt cohabitate and understand each other as coalleagues pursuing a particular aspiration. The goal then was to pass SSCE Exams and the target was to excel and get admitted in to Universities, polytechnic and other tertiary institution of higher learning. In fact, the ambition of majority of students was to become either a Doctor, Engineer or scientist of different field, But these may not be achievable to some who aspired differently later. These was made possible through the good teachers and good teaching materials/Superb Laboratories equipments provide for the science Board Kano.
